Chen Yongsheng, Doctor degree, Professor, Institute of Polymer Science, graduated from the University of Victoria with PhD in Chemistry in 1997 with Dr Reg Mitchell and late joined Dr Robert Haddon/Peter Eklund and Dr Fred Wudl groups for his Postdoc studies.

Yongsheng Chen is primarily engaged in research on functional polymers and nanomaterials, with a focus on their applications in green energy. He has led multiple national projects, including the 973 Program, 863 Program, etc. Published >500 papers in journals including Science, Nature, Nat. Photon., Nat. Common., JACS, Adv. Mat., Acc. Res. Chem., Nano Lett,and etc. These works have been cited more than 90,000 times, with an H-index of 130, and he also hold 37 authorized invention patents.
