The Frontiers Science Center for New Organic Matter (FSCNOM) at Nankai University, has been officially approved by China’s Ministry of Education (MOE) since 2023. The FSCNOM aims to gather elite forces from various disciplines to research the creation and methods of organic new substances globally.

FSCNOM is seeking outstanding candidates for multiple faculty positions at different levels.

l Development of New Methods for Constructing Organic Matter

l Chemical Biology (including Plant Chemical Biology)

l Synthetic Biology (including Plant Synthetic Biology)

l Bioactive Substances (including Pharmaceuticals and Pesticides)

l Plant Protection (including Plant Pathology and Insect Toxicology)

l Organic New Materials (including Polymer Materials, Optoelectronic Materials, and Other Special Materials)

l Application of AI in Matter Creation

Available posts and requirements： 

1. High end talent positions

Applicants should boast an excellent academic reputation and influence in their discipline, standing as renowned scholars and academic leaders in their professional fields. They should have achieved globally recognized original research or teaching outcomes and possess the capability to effectively organize and lead high-level research teams.

Overseas applicants should hold the position of associate professor, or higher (or an equivalent role) at a global-leading overseas university or research institution, and generally be under 45 years of age.

2. Young academic leaders' positions

Applicants should possess strong academic potential and high-level independent innovation capabilities, have a solid research foundation, and establish research directions and plans at the forefront of their disciplines. They should be capable of forming competitive academic teams and conducting forward-looking, innovative scientific research.

Applicants should have completed at least 3 years of postdoctoral research at a prestigious university or research institution at home and abroad, with outstanding academic achievements, and generally be under 35 years of age.

Support Policies：

1. The remuneration and support for High end talent positions will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

2. Successful candidates for the Young Academic Leaders’ positions will be included in the  Nankai University Hundred Young Academic Leaders Program, and will receive competitive introduction benefits in terms of salary, housing subsidies and settling in allowances, transitional housing. Additionally, Nankai University is equipped with facilities such as kindergartens, affiliated primary schools, and affiliated hospitals.

3. Nankai University and FSCNOM will provide sufficient research funding, postgraduate enrollment quotas, and research space.
