Professional Cultivation

Ma, Jian-Gong is the professor and academic leader of Nankai University.

His scientific research mainly focuses on the development of multi- functional coordination compounds, inorganic composite materials, the conversion and utilization of carbon dioxide and the green synthesis of industrial products. A series of new catalytic materials have been developed through the combination of complexes, nanomaterials and organometallic compounds, which have been successfully applied to many important chemical and chemical reactions including carbon dioxide conversion, hydrogenation, selective oxidation reduction and carbon- carbon coupling with high efficiency and low energy cost. Eighteen international and Chinese patents were authorized and series high-level scientific research papers have been published at journals of Angew. Chem., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Matter and so on. He has been in charge of several research projects of the NSFC, the MOST and the MOE of China, and has been rewarded by National level talent and series of awards.
